In September 2018, I created a survey on UX Roles and Responsibilities. My goal was to find out what people’s perceptions were of the differences between the UX Designer and the UX Researcher Role. I sent this around inside my company to the UX team and then I made a copy and sent it outside my company to other UX professionals. The results were surprisingly in sync!
My survey seemed to hit a nerve with quite a few people but also confused others. In retrospect, I should have stated the context more strongly.
